LED information display will alert when bowl is misaligned. Manual on/off switch on back of the unit permits deactivation of motion control sensor. Will my pet drink from HduO?
Answer: Once they "discover" the cool fresh water supply, most any pet will adjust quickly adopt and love drinking from HduO™.

How do I get my pet to start drinking from HduO?
Answer: Introducing HduO™ starts by removing their current water bowl. Once HduO™ is set up, activate water flow to pet bowl and call your pet to the bowl. If he/she does not drink, swish the water with your hand so the pet can hear water splashing. Allow pet to lick water from your hand. This will help your pet associate HduO with you and a safe supply for water.

How long will it take for my pet to start drinking from HduO?
Answer: Once they "discover" the cool fresh water supply, most any pet will adjust quickly adopt and love drinking from HduO™.

Will my pet drink from HduO?
Answer: Time will vary from immediately to a few hours. If you have removed their current bowl, they will begin to seek an alternate supply as their thirst grows. If, after a few hours, he/she still hasn't started drinking from HduO, repeat the introduction process..

What do the lights on front of HduO indicate?
Answer: See below:

Red light on means that hot water at target temperature (190F) is ready to dispense.

Red light off indicates that water heater is either turned off (red rocker switch on back of unit) or the unit is currently heating water.

Blue light on means that cold water at target temperature (50F) is ready to dispense.

Blue light off indicates that water cooler is either turned off (blue rocker switch on back of unit) or the unit is currently cooling water.

Orange light on means that water is available to dispense for your pet.

Orange light off indicates that the pet dispenser is either turned off (orange rocker switch on back of unit) or the pet bowl is not properly placed.

What should I do if the pet feature is not dispensing water?
Answer: The pet water dispensing feature is motion activated and controlled electronically.

Follow these steps to insure proper operation:

Confirm that pet feature is turned on, that is, the orange rocker switch on back of dispenser is in the "on position".

Confirm that bowl is properly placed. If the unit is turned on and the orange light on front of dispenser is lighted, the bowl is properly placed.

If orange display on front of dispenser is lighted and water not dispense, you can "reboot" in two ways:
Remove bowl and re-insert after 30 seconds.

Turn pet feature (orange rocker switch) to off position and re-start after 30 seconds.
Why can't I get cold (or hot) water from the tap?
Answer: You may have consumed more than the capacity of the cold (hot) water reservoir in a short period of time. Both the cold and hot water dispensers have limited capacities. When in the ready state (blue indicator lighted) the HduO cooler will dispense approximately 1.5 liters (48oz). When in the ready state (red indicator light) the HduO heater will dispense approximately 1.5 liters (48oz). Wait until the indicator lights illuminate and you will again have hot and cold water available.

What are the maintenance requirements for my HduO dispenser?
Answer: Caring for HduO is very simple. Keep water in the system at all times. When the reservoir empties, please be sure to replace immediately and take care not to let the internal tanks run dry. The HduO has 3 removable parts (drip tray, drip tray cover and pet water bowl) that should be cleaned with warm soapy water and rinsed on a regular basis. Ideally, the pet water bowl should be cleaned daily for the health of your pet.

Can the HduO dispenser be used outside?
Answer: No, the HduO dispenser is intended for indoor use only.

Is HduO UL approved? Energy Star?
Answer: Yes, HduO is UL approved for the United States and Canada and is also Energy Star approved.
